Former U.S. President Barack Obama has announced a new podcast titled ‘A Great Book with Barack Obama’. The series, produced by Higher Ground in partnership with Audible, is scheduled to premiere on September 24.

In the podcast, Obama will discuss six books that have significantly impacted his life and shaped his understanding of the human experience. The selected works include ‘The Fire Next Time’ by James Baldwin, ‘Song of Solomon’ by Toni Morrison, ‘All the Pretty Horses’ by Cormac McCarthy, ‘Gilead’ by Marilynne Robinson, and ‘All the King’s Men’ by Robert Penn Warren. Obama stated that the show aims to explore why these literary works resonate and how they can shape our understanding of ourselves and others.
