Barack Obama criticizes Donald Trump during Michigan and Ohio rallies

During campaign rallies in Detroit, Michigan, and Ohio, former President Barack Obama criticized Donald Trump, focusing on the former president's White House renovations. Obama joked about Trump's use of gold in the White House, stating, “He seems very focused on home renovations. He should be on HGTV,” and comparing the aesthetic to “Saddam Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory.”

Obama also addressed Trump's cabinet appointments, specifically targeting Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. He criticized Hegseth's focus, suggesting the Secretary is more concerned with the physical appearance and testosterone levels of troops than with substantive matters.
