Barack Obama visits Lisbon for Game Changers Forum

Former U.S. President Barack Obama is in Lisbon, Portugal, to serve as the keynote speaker for the sixth edition of the Game Changers Forum at the MEO Arena. His presentation focuses on themes of leadership, resilience, and impact.

The forum features over 30 national and international speakers discussing politics, economy, technology, entrepreneurship, and innovation. Notable Portuguese business leaders in attendance include Miguel Stilwell d’Andrade (EDP), Ana Figueiredo (Altice Portugal), and Rui Miguel Nabeiro (Grupo Nabeiro).

Prior to the forum, Obama held an informal meeting with Portuguese President António José Seguro at the Belém Palace to discuss international current affairs. He was also received in Cascais by Mayor Nuno Piteira Lopes upon his arrival.

This visit occurs less than a month before the U.S. midterm elections scheduled for November 3. Obama is expected to support Democratic campaigns, including a scheduled appearance in Michigan to support Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed.
