Baradero officials implement municipal salary recomposition

In Baradero, Argentina, government officials have addressed the recent recategorization of municipal workers. Secretary of Government Luciana Depauli stated that these changes are intended as a salary recomposition rather than individual performance recognition.

Depauli noted that municipal salaries are currently approximately 10 percentage points below the inflation rate. She emphasized that because of this gap, the benefits must be applied broadly. To address performance, the administration is utilizing attendance bonuses (presentismo), which have been increased from 1,000 to 15,000 pesos, as a way to distinguish between workers.

Additionally, an agreement includes a 3% increase and a commitment to incorporate the accumulated inflation from August to December into salaries this coming December.
