Barahona: 20-year-old man killed by stone assault

A 20-year-old man, identified as Luis Manuel Féliz Guzmán, died after being struck in the chest by a stone near the Cristo Rey School in Barahona, Dominican Republic. Preliminary reports indicate that Féliz Guzmán was walking toward the Federico Henríquez y Carvajal High School to collect a student when he was intercepted by another individual.

Féliz Guzmán, known as ‘Angelito,’ was rushed to a local medical center but succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment. The victim is the nephew of the prominent journalist and broadcaster Francis Alberto.

The National Police have reportedly apprehended a suspect in connection with the attack, though the identity of the aggressor and the specific motive for the incident have not yet been officially released. Local residents have called for increased police presence near educational institutions to prevent further violence.
