Barahona Governor Oneida Féliz presents provincial accountability report

Oneida Féliz, the provincial governor of Barahona, presented her accountability report (Rendición de Cuentas) for the period of October 2025 to September 2026. The report highlighted progress in various infrastructure and investment projects aimed at the development and transformation of the province.

Key areas of focus included road infrastructure, health, education, housing, sports, tourism, potable water, energy, security, and social development. Féliz emphasized the necessity of coordination between the central government, public institutions, the private sector, and local communities to address provincial needs.

The governor credited President Luis Abinader for the ongoing development in Barahona, describing it as a result of joint efforts and permanent management. The event was attended by representatives from various public institutions, including the Dominican National Police, the Army, the Air Force, and several security and community organizations.
