Barahona province honored at 37th Dominican Parade in New Jersey

The 37th Dominican Parade and Festival in New Jersey was held in honor of the Barahona province, celebrating its cultural identity and the contributions of its residents living abroad.

During the event, Dr. Natanael Gutiérrez was recognized for his commitment to the development of Barahona and the southern region of the Dominican Republic. The delegation visited the Paterson City Hall, where they were received by Mayor André Sayegh, and the Consulate General of the Dominican Republic in New Jersey to discuss investment and cooperation opportunities.

The Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) Barahona also participated in the festivities. A delegation from the university joined the celebrations, which included the raising of the Dominican flag and various academic and institutional meetings aimed at strengthening ties between the university and the Dominican diaspora.
