Barandika and Erkiaga to face off in Jai Alai League title match

Xabier Barandika and Aritz Erkiaga are set to face each other in the Jai Alai League title match at Carmelo Balda. The matchup follows a period of physical challenges for both athletes.

Barandika previously suffered a serious elbow injury in January, involving an olecranon fracture that required surgery and a difficult five-month rehabilitation process. Despite the setback, he successfully qualified for the Final Four as the top forward in his bracket. His opponent, Erkiaga, has also navigated various physical setbacks, with both players noting the difficulty of competing with chronic pain in the sport.
