Barbadillo launches Sociedad de la Bota wine membership club
Spanish winery Bodegas Barbadillo, founded in 1821, announced the creation of the Sociedad de la Bota, a private club for wine enthusiasts. The initiative follows recent accolades, including 99 points from Parker for the Bota Única Alcalde Amontillado and 100 points from Guía Peñína for the Reliquia Amontillado.
The Sociedad de la Bota offers three tiers of membership. The entry‑level Bota VOS costs €20 per month, while the exclusive Bota 1821 tier links a member’s name to a historic barrel in Barbadillo’s cellars and provides an annual personalized bottling. Victor Vélez, representing the winery, said the club aims to share the centuries‑old enological heritage of the Jerez region with passionate supporters.
