Barbados expands luxury and all-inclusive resort offerings
Barbados continues to expand its presence in the luxury and all-inclusive hospitality sectors. Marriott has officially reopened Turtle Beach, a Tribute Portfolio All-Inclusive Resort, on the island’s South Coast. Located between Dover and Maxwell Beach, the all-suite property features 165 suites, several dining options including Greek and Caribbean cuisine, and expanded family programming. This reopening is part of a broader trend of Marriott relaunching former Elegant Hotels properties on the island, such as Crystal Cove and Tamarind.
The island maintains a diverse tourism landscape, with the West Coast, known as the Platinum Coast, hosting a high concentration of luxury hotels like Sandy Lane. While the West Coast is characterized by calm waters and high-end amenities, the South Coast has become a hub for lively nightlife and contemporary all-inclusive resorts. Other recent additions to the local market include the O2 Beach Club & Spa and the Royalton Vessence Barbados.
