Barbados Traffic Changes for National Cultural Foundation Events

Barbados authorities have issued traffic management orders for two National Cultural Foundation festivals. For the Grand Kadooment scheduled on Monday, 3 August 2026, a list of roads—including Wharf Road, Hincks Street, Princess Alice Highway, Redman Drive, Prescod Boulevard, Fontabelle Road, Holborn Circle, President Kennedy Drive, Eagle Hall Road, Black Rock Road, Mighty Grynner Highway, and several others—will be closed to all vehicular traffic, with access limited to vehicles used by the Festival Committee. Parking is prohibited on a broader set of streets, and any breach may result in a fine of BDS $500 or up to three months’ imprisonment.

A similar set of restrictions applies to the annual “Foreday Morning Jam” parade, which runs from 1 a.m. to 8 a.m. on the same day. The Mighty Grynner Highway will be fully closed, Brighton Road will operate as a one‑way street toward Black Rock Road, and numerous streets will face parking bans. Police officers, together with members of the Barbados Defence Force and Fire Service, will be deployed to enforce the rules and ensure public safety.
