Barbara D'Urso's Rai show cancelled as she focuses on documentary

Italian TV presenter Barbara D'Urso will not return to Rai with the revived "Surprise Surprise" format. The programme does not appear in either the summer or autumn 2026 schedules, with Rai citing an already‑tight lineup and a lack of available slots for new formats or hosts.

At the same time, D'Urso is proceeding with a personal documentary titled "Col Cuore" (With Heart). The film, which aims to portray her professional and personal life, is currently being recorded and has been pitched to several broadcasters and streaming services, though two platforms have reportedly declined the project.

The cancellation sparked disappointment among fans on social media, who had anticipated the host's return after her recent stint on "Ballando con le Stelle". D'Urso has hinted at a "wonderful autumn" but no official contracts or new television roles have been confirmed.
