Barbara Eden reassures fans after canceling film festival appearance
Actress Barbara Eden, 95, has reassured fans that she is doing well following reports of a ‘sudden illness’ that forced her to cancel an appearance at the Cinecon Classic Film Festival in Los Angeles.
Eden clarified via Instagram that the situation was a ‘miscommunication’ and that she is not suffering from an illness. Instead, she explained that a recently prescribed medication caused ‘nasty side effects,’ leading her doctor to advise her to stay home until the issue is resolved. She described the setback as ‘just a speedbump’ and expressed hope to return to public appearances once cleared by medical professionals.
Eden was scheduled to receive the Cinecon Legacy Award at the 62nd edition of the festival. In her absence, actor Pat Boone accepted the honor on her behalf.
