Barbara Hanczarek appointed President of Tauron Dystrybucja

Barbara Hanczarek has been appointed as the President of the Management Board of Tauron Dystrybucja, Poland’s largest energy distributor. Based in Krakow, the company provides electricity across 57,000 km², covering approximately 18.5% of Poland's territory.

Hanczarek has been active in the energy sector since 2009. She previously served as the Director of the Controlling Department at Tauron Dystrybucja from 2014 to 2024. Her professional background includes roles in strategic analysis, investments, and the implementation of IT systems for capital management. She also co-developed the Data Management Strategy to unify financial control systems within the Tauron Capital Group and contributed to the Effective Transformation Charter (KET) through PTPiREE.

The current management board of Tauron Dystrybucja includes Hanczarek as President, alongside Vice Presidents Marcin Marzyński (Customer), Maciej Mróz (Operator), and Janusz Pisarek (Network Maintenance).
