Barbara Islas denounces seven years of fan harassment

Mexican actress and host Barbara Islas has publicly denounced a pattern of harassment by a fan, identified as Miguel ‘N’, which she claims has persisted for over seven years. Islas reported that the behavior began with cordial requests for photographs at her performances but escalated into increasingly uncomfortable physical demands and verbal insults directed at her colleagues and family.

The situation has reportedly intensified, with the individual allegedly following Islas to her residence and traveling to her hometown of Puebla to contact her mother. Islas also noted that her sister received threatening messages from the individual. Most recently, the actress reported seeing the man outside of Televisa facilities.

In response to these events, Islas has called upon authorities to prioritize her case under the ‘Ley Valeria’, a legal framework currently under commission in Mexico City. She emphasized the need for legal action to address the escalating threats to her and her family's safety.
