Barbara Kruger exhibition opens at Bourse de Commerce

The Pinault Collection is hosting the exhibition ‘Remember Me’ at the Bourse de Commerce in Paris, running until January 18, 2027. The exhibition features approximately 700 works centered on the 200-year history of photography, including works by Irving Penn and Raymond Depardon.

Artist Barbara Kruger has contributed a site-specific installation titled ‘The History of Tears,’ consisting of video panels and text in French and English located within the rotunda designed by Tadao Ando. The exhibition also includes Kruger’s iconic work, ‘I Shop Therefore I Am.’

The display highlights the significant influence of the Pinault family’s private collection on the art market. As owners of the luxury conglomerate Kering, the family’s curation and exhibition of high-value works serve to legitimize photography as a major asset class and influence secondary market valuations.
