Barbara Minghetti honored in Pordenone for musical education

Music manager Barbara Minghetti has received two major honors in Pordenone, Italy, for her decades of work in making opera and lyrical music accessible to younger generations.

At the Teatro Verdi, Minghetti was awarded the Premio Pordenone Musica 2026 Educare alla Musica. This recognition celebrates her development of models like Opera Education and Opera Domani, which engage schools, teachers, and families to foster musical interest from early childhood through adulthood.

Additionally, Minghetti was granted the Sigillo della Città di Pordenone, the city's highest recognition, during a ceremony at the municipal council hall. Local officials, including Mayor Alessandro Basso and Councilor Alberto Parigi, highlighted the importance of these awards as the city prepares for its role as the Italian Capital of Culture in 2027.
