Barbara Palvin discusses postpartum reality after Victoria’s Secret runway return
Supermodel Barbara Palvin has shared a candid look at her postpartum experience following her appearance at the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Los Angeles. Returning to the runway just six weeks after giving birth to her daughter, Sylvie, Palvin used her platform to highlight the realities of motherhood that often contrast with the glamour of the fashion industry.
Palvin revealed that the Victoria’s Secret design team assisted her by sewing nursing pads into her bra during the show. She also shared behind-the-scenes images of herself using a breast pump, describing it as a “little reminder of the reality behind all the glam.”
Beyond her personal experience, the model advocated for better maternal support and policy changes. She noted that in the United States, many women are expected to return to work within six to eight weeks of childbirth, often without the benefit of paid maternity leave. Palvin emphasized that mothers deserve more time, greater support, and more options, stating that every woman’s postpartum journey is unique and should not be subject to comparison.
