Barbara Schöneberger returns to host “Verstehen Sie Spaß?”

Barbara Schöneberger is returning to the ARD Saturday night classic “Verstehen Sie Spaß?” with a new live show. The upcoming episode will feature guests including Simone Thomalla, Heino Ferch, and Jimmy Hartwig.

The return follows a period of declining viewership for the long-running program, which has roots dating back to 1961. While a recent “Best-of” special in August saw a dip in ratings to 1.62 million viewers, the show continues its run despite changes in frequency and format.
