BARBRI Acquires AI Training Platform Lega to Boost Legal Education
Dallas‑based BARBRI, a leading provider of legal education, announced the acquisition of Lega, a Brooklyn‑originated generative‑AI lab that offers hands‑on training for law students, firms and legal professionals. The financial terms were not disclosed. BARBRI says the purchase will expand its AI‑focused curriculum, integrating Lega’s experiential workshops, simulations and hackathons across its product suite to help learners move from AI awareness to fluency.
Lega’s founder and CEO, Christian Lang, will join BARBRI as head of innovation, overseeing AI skill development for students and partners. Co‑CEO Lucie Allen said, “Lega brings a highly practical model that helps learners move from AI awareness to AI fluency,” while Lang added that the merger will enable “safe, practical, hands‑on ways to explore what AI makes possible” for the legal profession worldwide.
