Barceló Hotel Group opens Occidental Bangtao Beach Resort in Thailand

Barceló Hotel Group has officially opened the Occidental Bangtao Beach Resort in Phuket, Thailand. This marks the company’s second establishment in the country, following the success of Barceló Coconut Island, and serves as a key component of its expansion strategy within the Southeast Asian market.

The new resort, which was formerly the Arinara Beach Resort, was added to the group's portfolio through a management contract. This model allows the Spanish hotel chain to scale its international presence by collaborating with local owners.

Located on the beachfront of Bang Tao Beach with direct access to the Andaman Sea, the resort features 202 rooms and suites, including 86 units with swim-up pools. The facility offers various amenities, including a large central pool, multiple dining options such as the Beach Club Restaurant & Bar, wellness services, and event spaces including a ballroom capable of hosting over 200 people.
