Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto launches new Pro Loco association

The Pro Loco ‘Barcellona PG Terre del Longano APS’ has been established in Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto to promote, protect, and enhance the city’s cultural, historical, and landscape heritage. Registered with the National Union of Pro Loco of Italy (UNPLI), the association aims to serve as a community reference point for boosting local tourism and cultural growth.

The organization focuses on a capillary vision of the territory, seeking to rediscover the identity of individual hamlets and neighborhoods. By highlighting local traditions and both material and immaterial assets, the association intends to engage citizens and visitors through cultural paths, events, and integrated tourism initiatives.

Led by President Carmen Bruno, the association’s board includes professionals from the legal, educational, and cultural sectors. The leadership team consists of Vice President Silvio Biondo, Secretary Rosaria Alosi, Treasurer Giuseppe Crisafulli, and several council members.
