Barcelona and Manchester United negotiate Marcus Rashford permanent transfer

Manchester United’s England striker Marcus Rashford has completed a season‑long loan at Barcelona, scoring 14 goals and providing 14 assists. Barcelona hold an option to buy for €30 million but are hesitant to activate it at that price. Manager Hansi Flick has publicly backed a permanent move, telling Rashford he wants him to stay and urging the club to reach an agreement.

Reports indicate Rashford has agreed personal terms with Barcelona and is prepared to make an economic sacrifice to remain. Manchester United, however, are demanding the full €30 million or are willing to consider other offers. Barcelona are exploring alternative structures, such as a new loan with a later purchase clause, to avoid the immediate outlay.

While the Rashford deal is being finalised, United are already eyeing a replacement. West Ham forward Jarrod Bowen, also linked with Liverpool and Chelsea, has emerged as a potential target, with interest from other Premier League clubs as well.
