Barcelona anti-fascist groups mobilize against Vox event

Anti-fascist movements have announced mobilizations in Barcelona against an upcoming Vox event featuring party leader Santiago Abascal. The event is scheduled for Friday at Plaça de la Concòrdia in the Les Corts district.

The Barcelona Anti-fascist Coordinator has called for a demonstration at 18:00, one hour before the scheduled political meeting, stating they intend to ensure their neighborhoods do not become territory for what they describe as reactionary projects.

Local authorities, including the Mossos d’Esquadra, are expected to deploy a significant security presence. Vox has communicated the meeting to the Ministry of the Interior and is currently processing a permit request with the City Council.
