Barcelona director Deco addresses Julian Alvarez and Rodri transfers

FC Barcelona sporting director Deco has addressed the club’s recent transfer market activities, specifically regarding interest in Julian Alvarez and the successful acquisition of Rodri.

Regarding Julian Alvarez, Deco clarified that the club made an offer involving three installments but received no response. He denied claims that Barcelona encouraged the player to publicly express a desire to leave Atletico Madrid, stating, “If the player asked to leave, it is none of my business.” He maintained that the club’s actions were correct and that the matter is concluded.

Deco also commented on the signing of Rodri, noting that while the club initially doubted he would leave Manchester City, they acted immediately once the opportunity arose. Additionally, he touched upon other transfer decisions, including the club's preference for Gordon over Rashford and the pursuit of Adeyemi.
