Barcelona La Mercè festival features Love of Lesbian farewell

The La Mercè festival in Barcelona features a diverse musical program, highlighted by a significant performance by Love of Lesbian at Bogatell Beach. This concert serves as a farewell to the band’s connection with the city following their announcement of an indefinite hiatus. The event included guest appearances by Rigoberta Bandini and Manolo García, and concluded with a drone show displaying messages of affection for Barcelona.

Other major musical events during the festival include the Europa FM concert at Avenida María Cristina, featuring artists such as Leire Martínez and Paula Koops. The festival’s festivities will conclude on Sunday, September 27, with the traditional Piromusical. This year, the pyrotechnic and musical spectacle moves to a new location at Nova Icària beach due to construction at the Montjuïc site. The soundtrack for the show has been curated by Josep Montero of Oques Grasses.
