Barcelona luxury housing prices see significant growth

Barcelona has emerged as one of the cities with the highest growth in luxury housing prices. According to the Savills Prevalgui Residential World Cities Index, the luxury residential sector in the Catalan capital grew by 1.5% during the first half of the year, surpassing the global average growth of 0.6%.

The average luxury price in Barcelona is currently 9,600 €/m², with peaks reaching up to 18,000 €/m² in areas such as Passeig de Gràcia or Turó Park. Despite these increases, the city remains more accessible than major global hubs like Paris, London, New York, or Geneva, which enhances its attractiveness to both domestic and international investors.

Experts attribute this resilience to the solid wealth of buyers and a limited supply of unique assets, even amidst international economic moderation and geopolitical uncertainty. Growth is expected to continue, with increases of over 2% projected for the second half of the year.
