Barcelona midfielder Rodri faces month-long injury layoff

Barcelona midfielder Rodri is expected to be sidelined for approximately one month following an injury sustained during a 3-0 UEFA Champions League victory against Aston Villa. The Spanish international was forced to leave the pitch at halftime.

Hansi Flick is reportedly considering several options to fill the void in the midfield. Marc Bernal, a young academy graduate who replaced Rodri during the match, is a primary candidate for the starting lineup. Other potential solutions include Frenkie de Jong, who has recently returned from injury, and Gavi.

Rodri joined Barcelona from Manchester City earlier this year in a 60 million euro transfer. He has made 14 appearances across all competitions since his arrival, contributing one goal and one assist.
