Roony Bardghji's Barcelona Exit Sparks Multi-Club Transfer Race

Barcelona have indicated they are prepared to let 20‑year‑old Swedish winger Roony Bardghji leave the club after a season of limited minutes, with the player seeking regular playing time ahead of Euro 2028. The Catalan side are reportedly open to a loan or permanent deal that includes a buy‑back clause, allowing them to retain a future option on the prospect.

A host of clubs across Europe have entered the race. In England, Sunderland, Leeds United, Aston Villa, Brighton & Hove Albion, Fulham and other Premier League sides have been reported as actively pursuing the winger. French club Olympique de Marseille is also listed among the interested parties, alongside Ajax, FC Porto and Juventus from the continent. Reports note that more than ten offers or inquiries have already been received.

Bardghji arrived at Barcelona from FC Copenhagen in July 2025 for roughly €2 million plus bonuses. While he featured in 28 matches last season, he recorded only two goals and four assists, largely as a backup to Lamine Yamal. The combination of limited game time and the arrival of new signing Karim Adeyemi has heightened the desire for a move. Should a transfer materialise, Barcelona expect a fee that could generate “significant income,” while the buying club would gain a technically gifted winger with experience at a top‑level club.
