Barcelona mulls Alejandro Balde swap, Porto close on Eliezer Mayenda deal

FC Barcelona is reported to be willing to include left‑back Alejandro Balde in a proposed player‑exchange to acquire Julian Álvarez from Atlético Madrid, though Atlético has rejected a swap and insists on cash. The 22‑year‑old, a product of La Masia and Spanish international, remains at Barcelona amid speculation involving other European clubs.

Meanwhile, Portuguese champions FC Porto are in advanced talks to sign 21‑year‑old Spanish striker Eliezer Mayenda from Sunderland for around €16 million. The move would see the forward, who has limited Premier League experience, join Porto under manager Francesco Farioli. Competing suitors such as Rennes, Stuttgart and West Ham have also shown interest.

Both rumors highlight the active summer market in European football as clubs seek to strengthen key positions ahead of the upcoming season.
