Barcelona New Economy Week to expand sectors for 2026 edition

The seventh edition of Barcelona New Economy Week (BNEW) is scheduled to take place from October 5 to 7, 2026, at DFactory Barcelona. Organized by the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB), the event serves as an international platform for leaders in economic, technological, and social transformation.

The 2026 program introduces five new strategic verticals: Artificial Intelligence, Energy, Agrofood, Science, and Gaming. These join existing sectors including Talent, Aviation & Space, and Health. The event aims to address major upcoming decade-defining debates, such as the impact of AI on employment, the energy transition, and healthcare automation.

The event will feature approximately 270 national and international speakers participating in over 50 panels and debates. Content will be broadcast via three television studios in a hybrid format to reach a global audience.
