Barcelona players Rodri and Lamine Yamal discuss major career moves and awards

FC Barcelona players Rodri and Lamine Yamal have made significant statements regarding their recent successes and career trajectories.

Rodri, who recently transferred from Manchester City to Barcelona, revealed that he chose the Catalan club over Real Madrid. He noted that while Real Madrid was a serious option and involved direct discussions with José Mourinho, he was ultimately convinced by the sporting project presented by Hansi Flick and Deco. Rodri emphasized that his decision was based on the opportunity to win trophies and develop alongside Barcelona's young generation of players.

Meanwhile, Lamine Yamal has expressed confidence in his candidacy for the Ballon d'Or after being named among the 30 nominees. Following a season where he won La Liga with Barcelona and secured a World Cup title with the Spanish national team, Yamal stated, “I think I deserved the ‘Ballon d'Or’ this year because of what I have won.” He identified himself and Kylian Mbappé as the top players in the world currently.
