Barcelona prepares for October cultural festivals and seasonal celebrations

Barcelona and its surrounding districts are preparing for a series of cultural celebrations and seasonal festivities in October 2026.

On La Rambla, the 66th edition of the Festa del Roser will take place from October 3 to 11. Organized by Amics de La Rambla, the event features the ‘La Rambla in Bloom’ initiative, which includes floral decorations on building facades, guided tours, and exhibitions. Activities are spread across various historical sites, including the Palau de la Virreina, the Maritime Museum of Barcelona, and the Font de Canaletes.

In the Nou Barris district, the Festa Major de Canyelles is scheduled from October 3 to 12. The program includes traditional elements such as giants, capgrossos, music tributes, and community gatherings.

Additionally, the city will host various activities for Castanyada and Halloween. Celebrations range from themed events at Poble Espanyol and Tibidabo to parades on La Rambla and traditional chestnut-related festivities across all city districts, including Gràcia, Sants-Montjuïc, and Eixample.
