Barcelona SC officially announces return of Damián Díaz

Barcelona Sporting Club has officially announced the return of midfielder Damián ‘Kitu’ Díaz to the first team. The club confirmed that an agreement has been reached with the veteran player, whose new contract will extend until December 2027.

Díaz has already completed the necessary medical evaluations and participated in his first training session with the squad at the Estadio Banco Pichincha. The Argentine-Ecuadorian midfielder, who previously won national titles with the club in 2012, 2016, and 2020, returns to provide experience and leadership as the team competes for a position in the final hexagonal stage.

In an official statement, the institution welcomed the player, noting his historical significance to the club and expressing confidence that his contributions will assist the team in upcoming competitions.
