Barcelona SC president Miguel Montalvo initiates institutional reforms

Miguel Montalvo, the president of Barcelona SC, has initiated several institutional actions following his assumption of leadership after the resignation of Antonio Álvarez.

Montalvo met with Miguel Ángel Loor, head of LigaPro, to discuss the current state of the national tournament and establish coordinated lines of action to strengthen Ecuadorian football. The meeting aimed to foster a permanent and fluid dialogue between the club and the governing body.

Additionally, Montalvo addressed long-standing grievances regarding the media facilities at Estadio Monumental. He committed to working on a solution to provide a dedicated press area, addressing issues that have persisted since the previous administration removed the media box to construct suites. Currently, journalists face restricted views and limited access to press rooms and mixed zones.
