Barcelona seals record €1.5 million signing of Brazil forward Kerolin

Barcelona announced a four‑year deal to sign Brazilian forward Kerolin from Manchester City for a reported €1.5 million (about R$8.6 million). The fee makes her the most expensive Brazilian female player ever and the third‑most expensive transfer in women’s football history.

The 26‑year‑old attacker, who scored 14 goals and provided six assists in 37 games for City and helped Brazil win silver at the Paris 2024 Olympics, will become Barcelona’s biggest purchase and Manchester City’s biggest sale in the women’s game. The agreement is pending final paperwork and the player’s international clearance, with an expected arrival in Spain later this week. The move is highlighted as a milestone for both clubs and for the growing commercial value of women’s football ahead of the 2027 Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
