FC Barcelona eyes Pedro Porro amid Jules Koundé transfer speculation

FC Barcelona is managing significant defensive transitions amid transfer speculation involving Jules Koundé. While some reports suggest Koundé has no immediate intention of leaving the club, where he is contracted until 2030, he remains a target for several Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Tottenham.

To prepare for a potential departure, Barcelona has reportedly made initial contact with the representatives of Tottenham Hotspur defender Pedro Porro. Porro, a 2026 FIFA World Cup winner with Spain, is viewed as a primary replacement option, though securing him may prove difficult due to his long-term contract with Tottenham through 2031.

Internally, manager Hansi Flick may adjust Koundé’s tactical role. Following the loan of Ronald Araújo to Liverpool, the club is considering moving Koundé from his recent right-back position back to his original role as a centre-back.
