FC Barcelona won the 61st edition of the Joan Gamper Trophy with a 2-1 victory over Egypt's Al Ahly at Spotify Camp Nou. The match served as Barcelona's final pre-season test and the official presentation of their new squad under manager Hansi Flick.

Hamza Abdelkarim, a former Al Ahly player now with Barcelona, opened the scoring in the 29th minute. Raphinha doubled the lead with a penalty just before halftime. Al Ahly responded in the second half through Zizo, who scored in the 51st minute following an assist from Monsef Bakrar, but Barcelona held on for the win.

The event was notable for the return of matches to the Spotify Camp Nou and the presentation of new signings, including Rodri, Anthony Gordon, and Karim Adeyemi. During the match, security interventions were required to manage tensions between supporters in the stands. Following the game, Raphinha delivered his first speech as the club's new captain for the 2026/27 season.
