Barcelona to host economic and housing summits in October
Barcelona will host two significant professional gatherings in October. The seventh edition of Barcelona New Economy Week (BNEW) will take place from October 5 to 7 at DFactory Barcelona. Organized by the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona, the event focuses on economic, technological, and social transformation. This year, the program expands to include five new strategic verticals: AI, Energy, Agrofood, Science, and Gaming, joining existing sectors such as Talent, Aviation & Space, and Health. The event expects approximately 270 national and international speakers across more than 50 panels.
Additionally, the V Congreso Nacional de la Vivienda will be held in Barcelona on October 7 and 8 at the Auditori L’Illa. Organized by APCEspaña in collaboration with APCE Cataluña, the congress aims to address challenges in the Spanish real estate market, including land use, financing, affordable housing, and sustainability. The event will bring together nearly 500 professionals and institutional representatives, including the Minister of Housing and Urban Agenda, Isabel Rodríguez, to discuss housing as a strategic industry with social impact.
