Barcelona winger Raphinha joins pre‑season camp in England

Brazilian winger Raphinha arrived at FC Barcelona’s pre‑season base in England, St George’s Park, on 29 July 2026. The player, who suffered a thigh injury in Brazil’s World Cup group match against Haiti, is beginning work with head coach Hansi Flick and the squad as the club prepares for the new La Liga campaign.

Club officials say Raphinha is unlikely to feature in the first two friendlies – against Birmingham City on 31 July and Preston North End on 3 August – while his fitness is assessed. He faces competition on the wing from recent signings and will need to recover his physical form that was disrupted by injuries in the previous season and the World Cup.

Barcelona aims to have Raphinha fully ready for the upcoming season opener against Elche on 23 August, hoping the tailored fitness programme designed by the club’s new head of physical preparation will restore him to his previous performance level.
