Barcelona signs Brazilian striker Kerolin for record €1.2 million

FC Barcelona announced the signing of Brazilian forward Kerolin from Manchester City for a reported €1.2 million (about R$ 7 million). The fee sets a new record for both clubs – it is the highest amount ever paid by Barcelona for a women’s player and the largest sale in Manchester City women’s history, surpassing the previous Brazilian record held by Amanda Gutierrez.

Kerolin, 26, joins Barcelona on a contract running to 2030 after winning the English Cup and the Women’s Super League with City. The club said she is “one of the most exciting attacking players in world football” and highlighted her dribbling, speed and goal‑scoring instincts. The transfer also marks a break in Barcelona’s former internal transfer ceiling, underscoring the club’s ambition to remain at the top of women’s football.
