Barcelona’s Historic Hotel Majestic and Bodega La Palma Draw International Attention

The Hotel Majestic Barcelona, founded in 1918 on Passeig de Gràcia, remains an iconic luxury hotel whose classic façade and refined interiors continue to attract travelers, artists and cultural figures. Its on‑site restaurant SOLC reinterprets Catalan cuisine with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, and a rooftop pool and terrace offer panoramic views of the city’s modernist landmarks.

Bodega La Palma, a neighborhood bar in the Barri Gòtic that has operated since 1935, was highlighted after global pop star Rosalía dined there, triggering a wave of social‑media coverage. Recognised by the Barcelona city council as an emblematic local establishment, the bodega serves traditional Catalan dishes, an extensive selection of wines and cavas, and retains a historic ambience that contrasts with the city’s tourist‑driven venues.
