Barcelos hosts 43rd International Handicraft and Ceramics Exhibition

The 43rd International Handicraft and Ceramics Exhibition has opened at Parque da Cidade in Barcelos, Portugal. The event, which runs until August 9, showcases traditional craftsmanship and creativity, reinforcing the city's status as a UNESCO Creative City for Craftsmanship and Folk Art.

The inauguration was attended by various officials, including the Secretary of State for Tourism, Trade and Services, Pedro Machado. Local authorities noted that this edition follows the recent inclusion of Barcelos Figurative Art in the National Inventory of Immaterial Cultural Heritage, a distinction that strengthens the region's cultural identity and economic potential.
