Heracles Almelo extends lead in Keuken Kampioen Divisie

Heracles Almelo has strengthened its position at the top of the Keuken Kampioen Divisie following a 2-0 victory over Vitesse. Jean-Paul N'Djoli scored the opening goal in the 10th minute, and an own goal by Omar Achouitar secured the win for the home side.

This victory follows a setback for league leaders Almere City, who suffered a 3-2 defeat against FC Dordrecht. In that match, Almere City took an early lead through Olivier de Nijs, but Dordrecht responded with goals from Beni Mpanzu and Stan Hendrikx. A late equalizer by Joey Jacobs was not enough to prevent a decisive stoppage-time winner from Ayoub Ouarghi for Dordrecht.

In the reserve league, Barendrecht is scheduled to play an away match against the Almere City reserves in Flevoland.
