German broadcasters unveil summer 2026 TV line‑up

ZDF announced that the next episode of its quiz show "Der Quiz‑Champion" will air on Saturday, 8 August at 20:15. Host Johannes B. Kerner will be joined by a panel of experts: former swimmer Franziska van Almsick (sport), actor and author Axel Milberg (literature & language), moderator Pinar Atalay (current affairs), entertainer Wigald Boning (geography) and comedian‑director Michael "Bully" Herbig (film & TV).

Eurosport 1 will broadcast the sports programme "Radsport" on Tuesday, 28 July at 16:15, with a 30‑minute slot that will also be streamed live via the Eurosport‑1 Mediathek and Joyn. The show previews upcoming cycling events and mentions star riders such as Peter Sagan and Alejandro Valverde.

RTL 2 is repeating episode 30 of the documentary‑soap "Der Trödeltrupp – Das Geld liegt im Keller" (season 11) on Friday, 31 July. The episode follows second‑hand shop owners Senka and Hassen in Hagen as they receive assistance from trödelexpert Andreas Bierschock. The repeat is available on the RTL 2 Mediathek after the broadcast.
