Bareskrim Polri arrests international online gambling fugitive in Thailand

The Indonesian National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri) has apprehended a fugitive identified as FP in Thailand. The arrest was conducted through a coordinated operation involving the Cyber Crime Directorate, the SET NCB Interpol, and Thai immigration authorities.

FP is a suspect in an international online gambling case involving the operation of three websites: Empire88, 1XBET, and AJ8KEREN. These platforms offered various services, including slots, casino games, and sports betting. Authorities estimate the syndicate's transaction value reached Rp1 trillion between January and April 2026, based on activities in Indonesia and several other countries.

FP had been on the wanted list since July 29, 2026, after allegedly fleeing abroad. Following the arrest, the suspect has been returned to Indonesia to face legal proceedings. This arrest follows the previous detention of five other suspects—APU, MAY, R, GG, and TS—involved in the same network.
