Bari advances to cup round of 16 after penalty shootout win over Picerno

Bari has advanced to the round of 16 after defeating Picerno in a penalty shootout. The match, played before a crowd of approximately 1,900 people at San Nicola, saw Elia give Bari an early lead in the 5th minute.

Picerno equalized in the 30th minute through a penalty converted by Coppola following a foul by Cocetta. Despite several scoring opportunities for both sides, the match remained tied after regulation time. Guido Gomez secured the victory for Bari by scoring the decisive penalty in the shootout. Bari is scheduled to face Potenza in the next round of the cup.
