Bari Airport launches first 24/7 fresh flower vending machine
The Karol Wojtyła Airport in Bari has launched its first 24/7 fresh flower vending machine service. Located in the external arrivals area, the automated system allows passengers and visitors to purchase bouquets and floral arrangements at any time using card or smartphone payments.
The service is operated by Fioreria Padre Pio, a multi-generational family business from Bari recognized as a historic enterprise by the Puglia Region. The installation consists of two adjacent refrigerated units containing nineteen compartments. Available products include seasonal bouquets starting at 30 euros, roses, flower boxes, and stabilized rose compositions.
To ensure product quality, especially during summer months, the internal temperature is monitored remotely. The system is designed to automatically lock compartments if temperature parameters are not met. The machines are replenished daily from the florist's laboratory. This initiative follows a sub-concession tender held by Aeroporti di Puglia.
