Bari allocates 3.5 million euros for rental assistance
The Municipality of Bari has released a new call for housing contributions, known as the “bonus fitti,” for the 2025 fiscal year. The initiative is funded entirely by municipal budget resources, totaling 3.5 million euros.
The program aims to support low-income residents and families facing significant rental costs. Eligible applicants must be residents of Bari in 2025, hold a regularly registered lease for their primary residence, and have an annual family income not exceeding 15,688.40 euros. Additionally, rent must account for at least 14% of the household income. Successful applicants can receive a maximum contribution of 2,000 euros.
Mayor Vito Leccese stated that while the housing crisis is a national emergency requiring structural solutions, the city is taking action to prevent economic instability for thousands of families. Applications must be submitted online via the BA.CO.PA. platform by November 30, 2026.
