Bari approves new wedding venue and social inclusion projects
The City of Bari has approved several social and administrative initiatives. The municipal council has authorized the use of the Sala Colonnato at the Palazzo della Città Metropolitana as a new venue for weddings and civil unions. This move, proposed by Mayor Vito Leccese, aims to expand the city's offerings for ceremonies and promote the historic site, which overlooks the Bari seafront. Fees for these ceremonies will range between 450 and 750 euros.
Additionally, Bari is expanding its social welfare programs. The city has joined the ‘Sapori di futuro’ project, which focuses on professional training and job placement in the catering sector for vulnerable individuals, including migrants and unemployed youth. Furthermore, the municipality has joined the ‘UP LEVEL 18/30’ project, an initiative designed to support the autonomy and professional inclusion of young adults with disabilities through personalized life projects and vocational training.
